From Staff Reports

The former Henry’s Guns range just east of Richland Road on State Highway 66 in Yukon has reopened under new ownership.

Matt Moulton, who owns OKC Tactical, has opened the former Henry’s Guns range and shooting bays under a new name, Range 66.

It is located at 14375 State Highway 66 on the north side of the highway and west of Frisco Road.

There has been a recent rush for gun training and practice, Moulton said.

There is also an ongoing ammunition shortage and gun shortage during the pandemic.

Also, more people want to train to defend themselves or are more concerned about losing their gun rights such as concealed carried permits, Moulton said.

More people are training to use firearms, Moulton said.

The former Henry’s Gun range is now used for individual training, not just as a shooting range, Moulton said.

Moulton had previously rented space at Henry’s Guns before purchasing the property.

He said business continues to increase, even with the ammunition shortage nationwide, he said.

“We’ve just been crushed, for the past two years the business has increased,” Moulton said.

Range 66 is closed Sunday through Tuesday and open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday.
