Yukon Public Schools teachers and staff lined up for their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines Friday.

A clinic was set up at the Yukon Middle School that will be open Saturday as well.

It was the first round of vaccines for more than 500 district employees to be vaccinated. A second round is planned.

Educators for grades pre-kindergarten to 12th grade are eligible for the vaccines in Oklahoma.

As of Friday, Feb. 26, the district reported the number of cases had gone down.

Three students and three teachers had tested positive for COVID-19 and 25 students and one staff member had been quarantined as of Feb. 26.

Yukon High School had one student positive and six quarantined.

Yukon Middle School had one student and one staff member positive with five students quarantined.

Independence Intermediate School had no cases to report.

Lakeview Intermediate had three students quarantined.

Redstone Intermediate had one student positive and three students quarantined.

Central Elementary had no cases.

Myers Elementary had two staff members positive.

Parkland Elementary had three students quarantined.

Ranchwood Elementary had three students quarantined.

Shedeck Elementary had one student quarantined.

Skyview Elementary had three students quarantined.

Surrey Hills Elementary had one student quarantined.

The numbers show just .04% of students and .27% of teachers were positive as of Feb. 26 with just .30% of student and .09% of staff members quarantined.
