Goucher wins OKWA state title

TULSA – All in the family.
That is what wrestling is to the Goucher family.
The youngest Goucher, Blake, came home with the 61-pound Division 2 state championship in the Oklahoma Kids Wrestling Association, held recently In Tulsa.
The third grader at Ranchwood Elementary, wrestles for Prodigy Wrestling, which is coached by his father Matt. His older brother, Bryce is a member of the Yukon High School wrestling team.
Blake won the 61-pound title with a 4-2 decision over Kase King of the Verdigris Youth Wrestling.
Blake had reached the finals with another touch decision, beating Stetson Davis of Tuttle Wrestling Club, 9-8, in the semifinals.
Blake had opened the tournament by pinning Ean Howard of Vinita Wrestling Club in 16 seconds. Blake took Howard straight to his back to open the match.
He scored a second fall, pinning Randy Clark of the Team Tulsa Wrestling in 2:24 then decisioned Gunner Killingsworth of Vian 13-6.
