What separates Yukon Liberty Tax from other tax preparation companies is its owner.

Justin Holliday is an attorney specializing in tax law. He’s been preparing tax returns since law school.

Providing outstanding personal service is Holliday’s mantra at Yukon Liberty Tax, 1300 W Vandament – Suite 301.

“We’re very family focused here,” Holliday said of his tax business. “My uncle Larry and I run it together. We try to treat everybody like family and treat people the way we would want to be treated.

“I’m a firm believer in being up front and open, telling people what they need to hear – even if it’s not necessarily what they want to hear.”

Holliday, who lives in Yukon with his wife and three sons, bought Yukon Liberty Tax in August 2020 having previously run his own tax preparation and tax resolution firm since finishing law school 10 years earlier.

Holliday completely renovated the office for his family-owned and operated business, located in Red Rock Plaza shopping center just north of Walmart.

“It was corporate-run the last two years,” he shared. “We came in, re-did the walls, re-did the carpet and bought all-brand new furniture.

“We have all-new staff. The only things that are the same are the name and the address.”

Yukon Liberty Tax specializes in both personal and business tax return preparation and tax resolution, federal and all states.

“Not only do I stay up-to-date on tax law for the current tax year, but I provide resolution work for people who owe back taxes, innocent spouses and injured spouses; and doing settlements and lien abatements,” Holliday said.

Through his law firm, Holliday also provides estate planning – writing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.

During this tax season, Yukon Liberty Tax is helping clients navigate issues surrounding federal stimulus payments and COVID-19-related legislation.

Holliday has prepared thousands of tax returns over the past 12 years. He stands firmly behind his work.

“If we make a mistake or if you’re dealing with a tax situation from someone else who made a mistake, we can help you. We can fix it.”

An Oklahoma City native, Holliday graduated from Putnam City High School. He earned a finance degree from the University of Central Oklahoma before graduating in 2010 from the Oklahoma City University Law School.

Holliday started in the tax prep business as he studied for his juris doctor, preparing tax returns while in law school.

He and wife Kay Lynn moved to Yukon shortly after getting married 16 years ago.
“We fell in love with it,” he said. “This location has been great to us and the people have been great to us.

“This is home.”

Wife Kay Lynn is a kindergarten teacher at Surrey Hills Elementary School and their sons all play sports – Ethan, 15; Brayden, 12; and Kanon, 8. His mother, Lori Holliday, is a 1973 Yukon High School graduate.

Besides running a successful tax business, Holliday believes in using his talents to give back to his community. As such, he volunteers as treasurer of the Yukon Youth Football Association and prepares tax returns for several YHS booster clubs.

“We’ve been fortunate enough to come across a lot of really good people here since we’ve been in Yukon,” the Yukon Liberty Tax owner said.

Holliday encourages anyone with tax return or tax resolution questions to contact him at Yukon Liberty Tax, 1301 W Vandament – Suite 301. Walk-ins are welcome.

“When you come here, you’re going to be treated like family,” he said. “You’re going to be treated right.

“Your taxes are going to be done right and we’re here to protect you – every step of the way.”
