It is Teacher Appreciation Week, but at Oklahoma family-owned Johnnie’s Charcoal Broiler, they are showing the love and celebrating teachers and school staff through the month of May.

Johnnie’s is offering a free, large drink for all teachers and staff with valid ID throughout the month. No purchase is required for the Johnnie’s free drink deal.

“We are extremely grateful to the teaching community for their resilience during a challenging time in education this past school year,” said Rick Haynes, co-owner of Johnnie’s Charcoal Broiler. “This is our opportunity to say we appreciate all you do and the impact you’re making in the lives of Oklahoma children.”

Johnnie’s continues to give back to the community that helped make it a household name by supporting numerous charitable organizations including Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Habitat for Humanity. Even after 50 years, while other family-owned mainstays are closing doors, owners Rick and David Haynes are carrying on their father’s legacy and employ about 250 Oklahomans in their restaurants.

The Johnnie’s location in Yukon is at 1700 Shedeck Parkway, (405) 494-7971.
