Joe Cooper Auto Group has opened a second Yukon-area dealership.

The company has bought Westpointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge, 11001 W Reno in Yukon. The deal closed Tuesday morning and a new sign on the front of the building was up Tuesday afternoon.

Longtime Cooper manager Richard Sills confirmed the sale went through and he was talking to his salespeople at press time early Tuesday afternoon.

Westpointe is now Joe Cooper Dodge of Yukon.

Joe Cooper has a Ford dealership at 1780 Garth Brooks Blvd. in Yukon.

The auto group has several other dealerships in Oklahoma City, along with ones in Shawnee, Edmond and Tulsa.

Joe Cooper Auto Group has Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep/Dodge, BMX, Lincoln, MINI, Cadillac, Ram, Nissan, Infiniti, Mercedes Benz, and Porsche dealerships selling new and used vehicles.

Joe Cooper is a third-generation auto group started by Joe Cooper’s grandfather Claude Cooper – widely known as the “best mechanic in Canadian County.”

Joe’s father, Jackie Cooper, owned a Yukon Main Street dealership for many years and was inducted into the Yukon Historical Society’s “Wall of Fame.” Several dealerships still bear Jackie Cooper’s name.

On his website, Joe Cooper wrote:

“The good examples set by my grandfather and my father instilled in the Cooper family the basic principles we always follow: Honesty, valuing relationships, earning and keeping the trust of our customers treating people like you’d want to be treated and being easy to do business with.”
