Mary Christine “Christy” Dahlgren, 69, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at the Canadian Valley INTEGRIS Hospital, in Yukon after a long fight with cancer. She was born at Mather Air Force Base Hospital in Sacramento, California on December 16, 1951, the daughter of the late Mary C. Mason and Christopher C. Mason. She graduated from Yukon High School in 1970. She married her loving husband, Greg Dahlgren, on November 28, 1969. Christy was an Air Force wife for 25 years. After Greg retired from the Air Force in 1996, they moved to Warner Robins, Georgia and lived there for 16 years. It is in Georgia that Christy decided to become a Roman Catholic and became deeply involved in her volunteer work at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warner Robins. She and Greg moved back to Yukon in 2012. Christy loved camping and they would often go camping with their children, extended family, and she especially enjoyed camping with her sister, Sherry Fowler and her husband, Arliss Fowler. She loved sewing and loved to quilt. She was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon and served on the Altar Society. Christy is survived by her husband of almost 52 years, Greg. Christy is also survived by six children, daughter Kimberly Watkins of Yukon, son Richard Dahlgren and his wife Belinda of Morrilton, Arkansas, daughter Voni Boyantan and her husband Gary Boyanton of Yukon, son Christopher Dahlgren of Yukon, and twin daughters, Catheryn Dallenbach and her husband Dustin Dallenbach of Yukon and Madlyn Sattler and her husband Marcus Sattler of Yukon. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Mason and his wife, Twila of West Jordan, Utah in addition to her sister, Sherry Fowler and her husband Arliss Fowler of Yukon, OK and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank the nursing staff on the 2nd floor at Canadian Valley Integris Hospital in Yukon, for their outstanding, kind and compassionate care. The family truly appreciates it. Wake services will be 7 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Yanda & Son Chapel, Yukon, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon.
