A new hamburger restaurant is in town.

Hynson’s Classic Burgers has moved from Penn Square Mall in northwest Oklahoma City to the east side of Yukon in the Yukon Crossings strip mall at 825 E. Main Street Suite 100.

Gary F. Hynson, who opened the restaurant in Penn Square three years ago, decided to move to Yukon where he opened his new location Monday, Aug. 30. He will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturdays.

Hynson’s is known for their fresh burgers made with French brioche buns.

“Everything is made fresh with a special seasoning on it,” Hynson said.

He has been in the food industry since 1996. He is from Chickasha and lives in Edmond today.

The Yukon location is his only location for now.

“We are looking to expand,” Hynson said.

He was attracted to Yukon area and hopes to build more locations in communities around the Oklahoma City area and around the state.

“This is a great location and a great community and a great opportunity,” Hynson said.

Hynson’s was full of customers during evening hours this week, with Gary Hynson busy in the kitchen.

Hynson said he plans to open other locations.

“Once we get this one going we can start going to other little cities and start expanding that way,” Hynson said.
