Woman found in house fire near Yukon dies

Cause of blaze under investigation near Sara Road and N.W. 34

A woman died early Tuesday after she was found in a house fire on the southeast side of Yukon.

The fire was in the 10600 block of N.W. 34 Terrace about 4 a.m., firefighters from Oklahoma City reported.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Tuesday.

Firefighters reportedly went inside to get a woman out of the burning home. She was taken to a hospital by ambulance but later was reported to have died.

The fire caused about $172,000 damage, fire officials reported.
