A former Yukon resident now living in North Carolina faces justice in Canadian County for allegedly molesting a young girl over several years.
Christopher Leon Brady, 41, was charged Nov. 12 in Canadian County District Court with lewd/indecent acts to child under 12. The felony crime is punishable by not less than 25 years in state prison.
Assistant District Attorney Eric Epplin alleges the defendant, between October 2016 and July 2019, intentionally touched the victim’s body “in a lewd or lascivious manner by act(s) against public decency and morality.”
Mustang Police investigated the lewd acts case after being contacted July 21 by a detective with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office in Asheboro, N.C.
Brady, of Pleasant Garden, N.C., has been arrested for possession of child pornography and felony secret peeping.
Investigators learned Brady may have molested the young victim while living in Mustang from 2016-19, according to a probable cause affidavit signed by a Mustang police officer.
The girl disclosed the lewd acts in a forensic interview with the North Carolina detective, according to the affidavit.
Canadian County Special Judge Charles Gass has issued a no-bond warrant for Brady’s arrest.
The court case has been assigned to Canadian County District Judge Jack D. McCurdy.
