Yukon to observe Small Business Saturday

City officials hope residents shop local between Black Friday and Cyber Monday

The City of Yukon will observe “Small Business Saturday” on Nov. 27. The annual retail promotion falls between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Devin Tenney, and other Yukon small businesses are hoping locals keep their dollars at home Saturday. Tenney said Vladislava’s Czech Bakery & Cafe is open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for dinner. Customers can win special offers and gift cards Saturday. He was open from Friday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.


“The businesses here on the block are enhancing each other and trying to get customers,” Tenney said.

Yukon Main Street will have a special promotion for holiday shoppers Saturday. A list of participating retailers and restaurants will be posted Nov. 24 on Yukon Main Street’s social media sites.

Vladislava’s Bakery & Café is located at 422 W. Main Street in Yukon.

Another small business that recently opened in Yukon is Simply Samples Floral Design, 836 Garth Brooks Boulevard.

Shoppers are encouraged to stop by the Yukon Main Street office, 528 W Main just west of Yukon City Hall, to pick up gifts and enjoy refreshments. The office will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
