Louie’s Grill & Bar in Yukon busy for the holidays, bowl games

Gift cards promoted, bar, tables, customers ready for bowl season with 20 TVs

The booths and tables are full especially these days at Louie’s Grill & Bar in Yukon.

There are many TVs that will have the bowl games starting Saturday.

The restaurant is located at 1600 Garth Brooks Blvd. in Yukon.

Brant Norwood, managing partner, said his business is better than the day he opened the doors.

“It’s going very, very well, we’re blessed. I’ve been here 12 and a half years and you would think it was the first one,” Norwood said. “This town really supports us. We are as busy as we have ever been since opening.”

The restaurant broke a sales record for a week last week and the week before that.


“And that does not count this week. This week is trending to beat those,” Norwood said Thursday.

Louie’s will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They will be open until 11 p.m. New Year’s Eve.

At Louie’s, there is a side room that holds 60 people for private parties.

“We have tons of reservations for that for Christmas parties, holiday parties whatever the need is,” Norwood said.

They have large tables for groups, Norwood said.

Norwood opened the restaurant in June 2009.

A lot of people also go to Louie’s to watch sports and the bowl season started Saturday, Dec. 18.

Also, children eat free on Wednesday nights.

“We do a lot of fundraising for the community,” Norwood said. There are frequent nights when a percentage of money spend by customers is donated to various schools or causes.
