An Oklahoma City woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a man found near S.W. 44 and Richland Road in late November.

Danielle Renee Velez, 29, was booked at the Canadian County Jail Wednesday night on a murder complaint.

An arrest warrant filed by Oklahoma City police states that the body of Konner Huckeby was found at S.W. 44 and S. Richland Road. He was seen on video surveillance getting into a white pickup the night of Nov. 26 at the Extended Stay America, 4820 W. Reno Ave., according to the arrest warrant.

Huckeby was later found on the south side of Richland Road deceased. He had injuries consistent with a homicide, police reported.

Police allege Huckeby was lured into the white pickup “under the disguise of a drug deal, where he is kidnapped and ultimately murdered,” the arrest warrant states. The warrant states that Huckeby had allegedly agreed to sell two grams of Fentanyl for $80.

Velez remained in the Canadian County Jail Friday afternoon. A formal charge had not been filed by prosecutors Friday at the Canadian County District Attorney’s office.
