Harold Eugene Stansberry II was born on March 6, 1944 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 12, 2022. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Sr. and Leona Dawson Stansberry, his sister Pat Schiff, and his sweet wife, of 42 years, Susan. Harold is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Stansberry and Amy Stansberry Brown, son-in-law Kevin Brown, and the three joys of his life, granddaughters Lilly, Annie, and Sophie Brown.
It was once said that Harold loved God, “grandgirls,” golf, and guns! He loved to travel, play golf with his longtime golf buddies, and chat with people as he greeted for years at both Heritage Baptist Church and Covenant Community Church. His favorite past time was seeing his grandgirls in whatever venture they were involved in. He went to every concert, play, sports, and recital, and kept every program! In his younger years, Harold was in the Air Force reserves, co-owned a men’s clothing store, Mr. Buck’s Apparel, and worked as a state auditor. Harold first and foremost was a believer in Jesus, and we know that one day we will see him again in our forever home, Heaven.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 16th at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 17th at Heritage Baptist Church.
In honor of Harold, family would like donations to be made to Southwest Covenant School’s Big Vision at www.southwestcovenant.com/
