All Yukon Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday due to anticipated wintry weather, school officials announced Tuesday afternoon.
“With the impending threat of dangerous weather conditions YPS will cancel school Wednesday, Feb. 2,” a statement from a district official read.
“We will be monitoring the situation and not make an official decision on whether or not we will be in school Thursday or Friday until tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday). Any days missed this week will be counted as snow days.”
A winter storm watch is in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday for central Oklahoma.
