Carol Hefner, candidate for Oklahoma City mayor, attended the Yukon Chocolate Festival Saturday at the Dale Robertson Center.

Carol Hefner made an appearance with her father, Sam Coury, and her husband Robert Hefner IV. The mayoral race is Tuesday, Feb. 8. Three Oklahoma City wards are in Canadian County in the Yukon, Piedmont and Mustang areas.

The Yukon Chocolate Festival was canceled in 2021 due to COVID-19.

The festival was hosted by Yukon Parks and Recreation and the Ladies Library Club.

The event featured 20 vendor booths and a silent auction of baked goods and gift baskets – just in time for Valentine’s Day. Awards were be presented for the best-tasting chocolate and best booth décor.

Sara Schieman, librarian at the Mabel C. Fry Public Library, said there was fudge, cake pops, truffles, brownies, ice cream, cupcakes, and molded candy pops.
