A 12-year-old boy drove off in his parents’ minivan Thursday night and led police on a pursuit before crashing near Yukon, police said.
The minivan hit a fence and burst into flames, but the boy was not injured.
About 7 p.m. Thursday, Oklahoma City police officers were sent to the area of SW 15 and S Mustang Road where callers to 911 had reported a gray minivan van was being driven recklessly and hitting curbs, said police Sgt. Dillon Quirk.

An Oklahoma City police officer tried to stop the driver of the minivan, but the driver refused to stop before crashing, Quirk said.
The parents of the boy were able to locate the minivan by GPS, and they arrived at the scene.
The boy was taken to a juvenile detention center.
No one else was injured, and no other vehicles were reported to have been hit by the minivan.
