An Oklahoma City man is dead after a Sunday shooting in Yukon.
Yukon Deputy Police Chief John Brown said a resident in the 300 block of Spruce Drive shot and killed her ex-boyfriend – 23-year-old Boyd Jones – after he allegedly broke into her home and attacked her.
“On Feb. 27 at approx. 4:06 a.m., the Yukon Police Department received a 911 phone call from the female resident regarding the shooting of her ex-boyfriend,” Brown said.
The unnamed woman shot Jones in the stomach after he physically attacked her, the deputy chief said.
Jones was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The woman has not been arrested and the case is still under investigation, Brown said.
