OK Czechs seek royalty candidates for Yukon festival

Applications due by Aug. 15; pageant set Sept. 25 at Yukon Czech Hall

Oklahoma Czechs, Inc. is now sending out and accepting applications for the 2022 Oklahoma Czech-Slovak Royalty Pageant.

Titles will be given for Queen (women ages 17-25), Junior Queen (girls ages 11-16), Prince (boys ages 5-10), and Princess (girls ages 5-10).

Request a copy of pageant rules and guidelines and an application form from Pageant Director Debbie Kessler at okczechslovakpageant@gmail.com.

Make sure to specify which royalty category you are interested in.

All applications are due by Aug. 15.

The pageant will be Sunday, Sept. 25 at Yukon Czech Hall, 205 N Czech Hall Road.

Half of the 2021-22 Oklahoma Czech-Slovak royalty are from Yukon.

The reigning royalty are: Queen Anna Sedivy-Thompson of Edmond, Junior Queen Aspen Hein of Yukon, Princess Kennedy Myrick of Yukon, and Prince Seth Pruett of Prague.

The 2022-23 royalty winners will be crowned during the annual Oklahoma Czech Festival on Saturday, Oct. 1 in Yukon.

A royalty coronation ball, featuring live music and dancing, will be 5:30 p.m. to midnight at Yukon Czech Hall.
