Rudy Sanchez, Jr., 50, gained his wings on Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, at Mercy Hospital after battling kidney cancer.
Rudy was born on Nov. 1, 1971, in Houston, Texas, to Rudy Sr. and Sylvia Sanchez.
Rudy started his career as a firefighter at the El Reno Fire Department in 2005. He then moved to the Yukon Fire Department in 2007, serving a total of 14 years. He played a vital role in the safety and quality of life of Yukon.
He married Stormi Sanchez on April 21, 2007. They raised four beautiful children – Mercedes, Rylee, Bailey and Denton. Rudy enjoyed spending time with family, friends and playing his harmonica.
He is survived by his wife, Stormi Sanchez; four children, Mercedes, Rylee, Bailey and Denton; parents, Rudy Sr. and Sylvia Sanchez; sister, Stephanie Miller; and four grandchildren, Parker, Tatum, Maddox, and Cooper.
A memorial service to celebrate Rudy’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Life.Church, 1101 E. Main Street, Yukon, Oklahoma.
