Large logo signs installed this week indicate great construction progress has been made at a Yukon convenience store property.

Casey’s retail stores at 1301 S Cornwell and 1256 S Garth Brooks Blvd. are both being remodeled and upgraded.

Casey’s is rebuilding former Circle K stores with fueling stations that the company acquired in summer 2021.

The store at the Cornwell/Vandament intersection is nearing completion after several months of construction.

A Metro Sign work crew was on-site this week to erect signs in front of the new building and near the southeast corner of Cornwell and Vandament.

Casey’s, headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa, is now hiring staff with plans to reopen both sites this fall.

The company contracted with Midwest Wrecking to demolish the old convenience store buildings and car washes.

The new 24/7 stores were designed in accordance with the company’s typical convenience store business – featuring its signature made-from-scratch pizza.

The chain now has six locations in the 73099 zip code, three of those inside Yukon city limits

The other Yukon store is a “Good Stop” at 1100 Lakeshore Drive.

Casey’s also has a store at 141 S Mustang Road, just south of Yukon in Oklahoma City limits.

In recent years, Casey’s constructed two brand new stores with large fueling stations just outside Yukon – at 10600 W Hwy 66 and 13001 W Reno in Oklahoma City.

Founded in 1967 with its first store in Boone, Iowa, Casey’s is a chain of convenience stores in the Midwestern and Southern United States.

Casey’s has more than 2,400 stores and 43,000 team members in 16 states, according to the company’s website.
