Barry Lee West, 64, of Yukon passed away suddenly on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022.
Barry was born June on 26, 1958, in Okarche, Oklahoma, to Harley and Wanda West. He grew up in Yukon and lived there almost all of his life. He graduated from Yukon High School in 1976.
After high school, Barry joined the Oklahoma Air National Guard. Soon after, he married Tammy Munson and they had two children, Katelynn West and Jared West.
Barry took a couple of jobs that allowed him to travel the country before coming back home to Yukon to help run the family business, Wan-Da-Bar. He enjoyed many years working alongside his father, Harley, and took over operations after Harley passed.
Barry loved spending time at Lake Texoma and spent as many weekends as possible at the lake. He never seemed to meet a stranger and always made his friends and family laugh with his unique sense of humor.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda and Harley West. Barry is survived by his longtime partner, Tracy Thurman; his daughter, Katelynn West and partner Orlando Mergal-Molina; son, Jared West; his sister, Dana Cypert and husband Allan; nieces, Ali Earnheart and Sidney Stafford; and grandchildren, Sophia and Luke.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon.
Graveside service will be held at Frisco Cemetery on Friday, Oct. 21, at one 1 p.m.
