Rhonda Lee (Fish) Haumpo passed away Oct. 27 2022, at her home in Yukon, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving sons. She was born April 26, 1951, to Barney and Alma Jean Fish and raised by Gene and Pat Ross.

A 1970 graduate of Moore High School, she then attended Cameron University, graduating in 1974. Rhonda married Lionel Russell Haumpo on Nov. 3, 1972, and together they had three sons – Lionel Noah Haumpo, Anthony Martin Haumpo and John Russell Haumpo.

A dedicated school teacher, Rhonda taught in Boone, Oklahoma, and Fort Sill Indian School in Lawton, Oklahoma, before moving to New Mexico, where she taught for 13 years. She then moved back to Oklahoma, teaching in Geary, Oklahoma, for 17 years and then did substitute teaching in Yukon for three years, retiring in 2010.

She is survived by two brothers, Darwin Moore and wife Debbie of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, and Michael Gene Ross of Moore, Oklahoma; two sisters, Deborah Mason of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Brenda Crawley and husband Frank of Moore, Oklahoma; and her three sons, Lionel, Anthony and John and his wife LouDonna Haumpo.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Alma Jean Fish; adopted parents, Pat and Gene Ross; husband, Lionel R. Haumpo; two brothers, James Fish and Rev. Dale Frazier Fish; and two sisters, Mary Anne (Fish) Hall and Carol Elizabeth (Fish) Long.

Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at the funeral home. Her life will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Mustang United Methodist Church, 211 W. Highway 152, Mustang, Oklahoma, with a private interment.
