Bird Walk attendees will all receive a Mollie Spencer Farm Bird Checklist, developed by the Ornithology Department at the Sam Noble Museum, to help lessen the learning curve and to keep track of all the birds they see! Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own binoculars to this event, as a limited number will be available on a first come, first served basis.

“It’s always so much fun to see the look on children’s faces, but also the adults when they spot their first Scissor-tailed Flycatcher or a Red-bellied Woodpecker,” Mollie Spencer Farm manager John Leonard said. “You can tell the wheels start turning and the excitement to spot even more species just grows and grows – it’s contagious.”

Bird Walk for is free, but registration is required. This event involves walking on potentially uneven terrain, so please prepare accordingly. The Mollie Spencer Farm is committed to the safety of our visitors. Event attendees are asked to not visit the Mollie Spencer Farm if they are sick with COVID-19, were recently exposed (within 14 days) to someone with COVID-19, have a fever, or do not feel well.

For more information or to register, call (405) 767-3702, visit the farm’s Facebook page or see its website, located at https://www.molliespencerfarm.org.
