Patricia Louise Wright, age 89, of Yukon passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022. Patricia/Pat/Gea was born Nov. 25, 1932, in Tushka, Oklahoma. She was the second of five children born to Carmen and Ruth Rowton (Sipes).
She graduated in 1951 from Tushka High School. Shortly after graduating, Pat moved to Oklahoma City, where she was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She met and married her soulmate Dale Wright in 1958.
She devoted her life to her family. Gea, as she was known by her grandkids, was giving, supportive, caring and loving. She was known to be classy, quiet, humble and full of wisdom. Rain or shine you could always count on Gea being there to support her kids and grandchildren, and she was dearly loved by each of them. She was a prayer warrior who faithfully prayed for all of her family. She and Dale exemplified taking care of family first before themselves.
Her sharpness and quick wit carried her through to her last days. She trusted her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom she accepted at a young age. She was active in BSF/ Bible Study Fellowship for several years and served as a docent at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale; sisters, Maurice and Carole; brother, Kenneth; and granddaughter, Alyssa Nicole Riddell. Pat is survived by her two daughters, Ginger Goss and husband Steve and daughter Bethany, and Julie Riddell and husband Dean and their three children, Ashley VanWinkle (spouse Erik), Austin Riddell (spouse Karleigh), and Blake Riddell; and two great granddaughters, Arabella VanWinkle and Jade VanWinkle, who brought her great joy in the latter years of her life.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 9 a.m. with funeral services following at 1 p.m. Both will be held at Bill Merritt Funeral Home in Bethany. Interment for family will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (www.billygraham.org), an organization that has always been dear to her heart.
