All Yukon Public Schools’ after-school and evening programs, activities and events have been canceled today, Jan. 24, due to inclement weather.
“Individual sites and programs will send out communications regarding event rescheduling or any other information at a later time,” according to a message posted on the YPS website.
School patrons are encouraged to check the district’s website, http://www.yukonps.com, and social media channels for any additional closures caused by today’s snow.
Parents will students enrolled in Millers After School care have been advised to pick up their children “as soon as possible” after school today.
Staff will be on-site until the last child is picked up.
The City of Yukon, meanwhile, has posted a map showing snow routes. City snowplow crews will be out clearing roadways across Yukon.
