Matthew Thomas Rose, beloved husband, father and son, passed away on March 10, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 50.
Matthew was born to parents Gary and Patricia Rose on Sept. 8, 1972, in Evergreen Park, Illinois. He grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma, and loved to spend his moments outdoors with his family, no matter the activity or season.
He attended school in Yukon and graduated as a proud Miller with the Class of 1990. Matthew furthered his education at Oklahoma State University OKC, where he graduated with a computer science degree.
He met the love of his life, Dusti Rose, and they were married for 23 years. Matthew cherished his children, Lauren and Matthew, and they made memories together camping, watching movies and playing video games. Throughout Matthew’s life, he was known for his love of fishing and technology, as well as his sense of humor.
He worked as an IT Director for more than 10 years. Matthew will be missed by all who knew him and loved him dearly. Matthew Thomas Rose is preceded in death by his brother, James Allen. Matthew is survived by his wife Dusti; children, Lauren and Matthew; parents, Gary and Patricia; brother, Michael; sister, Katherine and her husband Leland; half-sister, Pam and her husband Brent; and his best friend, Eric.
Matthew’s life will be remembered on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary. Services are under the direction of Ingram, Smith and Turner Mortuary in Yukon, Oklahoma.
