Central Oklahoma Ballet welcomed supporters for its first spring “Boots & Ballet” benefit April 14 inside Yukon Czech Hall, 205 N Czech Hall Road.

Highlight was a performance by local Central Oklahoma Ballet dancers to the songs “Hoe Down” and “Oklahoma!” They were directed by Debra Vossen, COB’s longtime artistic director.

A silent auction featured a Lake Eufaula weekend retreat, Nutcracker wall pictures, local distillery private tour, floral arrangement, gift baskets, and Czech pottery, along with a wide variety of gift certificates/cards – for cupcakes, trapeze yoga classes, haircuts, restaurant dining, and more.

Boots & Ballet included a wine pull, live country and western music by the Wilton O’Neal Band and two-step lessons led by country dance instructor Anthony Clark.

The event raised funds to help Central Oklahoma Ballet cover production costs of the 2023 “Nutcracker.” Performances will be Dec. 2-3 at the Yukon Fine Arts Center, 850 Yukon Ave.
