The Yukon Alumni Association will present the annual alumni golf tournament and banquet on Saturday, June 3.
The golf tournament will tee off at Surrey Hills Golf Course.
Early registration is encouraged, as it is limited to the first 120 registration-paying players. The event will happen – rain or shine – unless the course is unplayable as deemed by the golf course staff. Players must wear proper dress and soft spikes on their golf shoes.

Breakfast and tourney check-in runs from 7-8 a.m. and a shotgun start fires at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $65 per person and includes breakfast. Mulligans cost $5 and drawing tickets will be sold for $1 each.
Donations are always welcome, and sponsorships are still available. Hole sponsorships are: Transcendent – $4,000 and up; Miller Elite – $1,000-$3,999; Miller Gold – $500-$999; and Holes – $100 each.
Donated prizes will be recognized at the tournament and the banquet held afterwards.
“We are a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, so donations are tax deductible,” Yukon Alumni Association Board Member Neta Duke said.
Proceeds from the day of fun will be used to fund scholarships, awards, and alumni projects.
Over the past 45 years, the alumni association has awarded over $440,000 in scholarships to YHS seniors.

CONTINUE THE FUN
After the golf tournament, attendees are encouraged to continue the day of fun by joining their fellow alumni at the YHS Alumni Banquet.
The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. June 3 at the Yukon High School cafeteria, 1777 S. Yukon Parkway.
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased in advance at YNB Bank and Conrad Marr Drug, or at the door.
“It’s fun for everyone at the banquet, whether they played golf that day, sponsored the tournament, or are a YHS alumni, student or parent,” Duke said. “Attendees get to catch up and watch the future alumni – 2023 YHS graduates – get scholarships to further their education.
“Last year, we were able to give $25,000 in scholarships. We normally give one scholarship for $1,500, one for $1,300, one at $1,200, and 10-15 at $1,000 – plus or minus, depending on how much money we raise.”
YHS classes that will be honored for hitting a milestone year are: 1943, 1948, 1953, 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2008, 2013, 2018, and 2023.
Yukon High School Alumni Association board members are President Phil Kastl, James Van Horn, Johnny Rose, Danny Rose, Sandy Bohannan, Michelle O’Dell, Bill Logan, and Duke.
