As part of its community service outreach, the Yukon Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors showed their support of Canadian County’s domestic violence survivors.

The Ambassadors, chaired by Lynn North, recently presented 25, $10 retail gift cards to the Intervention and Crisis Advocacy Network (ICAN).

The gift cards will be distributed by this nonprofit organization to Canadian County’s domestic violence survivors.

North presented the donation to ICAN Associate Director Carolyn Husmann and Board Member Terry Martin at the Yukon Chamber Office, 10 W Main – Suite 130.

ICAN provides free and confidential services to individuals who have experienced all forms of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence, elder abuse, and human trafficking.

It is an on-site partner agency at Cardinal Point, the Canadian County family justice center.

ICAN has a 24-hour crisis hotline and offers an emergency shelter for victims. The program started in 1981.
