Joise Faye Smith died on June 28, 2023 at the age of 86. She was born on August 15, 1936 to Walter and Francis Pickle.
She graduated from Classen High School in 1954. Joise married Robert Smith in 1958, sharing 61 years of marriage. She worked as a telephone operator until 1971, at which time she then became a full-time wife and mother baking cakes from her home. A faithful member of the South Yukon church of Christ, Joise also volunteered as a Sunday school teacher.
She was survived by her four children and families: Kelley and Steve Bakke of Tuttle, and their children, Chad & Bethany, April, Jeramie and Tiffany; Monte and Tami Smith of Weatherford, and their children Kreig and Aubrey, and Kelsey and Karley; Stacey and Greg Loud of Yukon and their son Colby and Jenny; Brett and Mallory Smith of Kansas City, and their children Kali, Colin and Katie, and Heidi, Brytni and Cameron; great grandchildren: Emma, Cooper, Boston, Amelia, Ezra, Ellie and Karter, and brother, Elvis Pickle.
Joise was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, Walter and Francis Pickle; twin sister, Loise Apala, brothers, Tony, Ralph and Orville Pickle, and grandson, Jarod Bakke.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 3 at 2 pm at South Yukon Church of Christ, 11700 NW 10th, Yukon, OK.
