Yukon Parks & Recreation showed off its brand-new disc golf course for Yukon’s “Friday Fun Day” June 23 at Welch Park, 615 Annawood Drive.

This special, free event was open to kids of all ages.

Disc golf is played much like golf except, instead of a ball and clubs, players use a flying disc.

Groups are sent with a scorecard to compete against each other in this fun sport.

Yukon’s disc golf course opened this spring at the 14.55-acre Welch Park near Ranchwood Elementary School.

Friday Fun Days are offered at 10 a.m. each Friday throughout the summer at various Yukon parks and recreation facilities.
