Spanish Cove, a retirement village in Yukon, will host a fundraiser dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 22 to benefit The Celebration Garden, a retreat for Cove residents and their guests.

The dinner will be at the Pavilion Dining Room, 11 Palm.

Dinner will be prepared by Eric Peters, Spanish Cove’s director of Culinary Services.

Immediately following the prepared dinner, Canadian County District 1 Commissioner Tom Manske will auction off sweet treats to those in attendance.

After filing their bellies, guests can turn to the Whodunit Theater cast for the entertainment portion of the evening. The cast will perform “The Beverly Kill-Billies.”

“I am not a product of Yukon, but I am fortunate to live among those very people,” Spanish Cove resident Ellen Henson said. “Along with teachers, doctors, nurses, business leaders, and a variety of professionals we are blessed with 66 veterans including some from ‘The Greatest Generation.’

“They are all the inspiration behind raising money for a Celebration Garden in their honor.”

Henson continued to say the garden gives residents the opportunity to celebrate the lives of residents – past and present – and those who care for them.

The fundraiser dinner tickets cost $60 per person when purchasing four or more tickets or $75 for individual tickets.

To reserve tickets, call the Marketing Department at Spanish Cove at (405) 354-5906 or visit spanishcove.com/events.

“We are reserving a significant portion of the seating for the community of Yukon, along with the families of our residents so call today because space is limited,” Henson said.
