James Allen Berousek, 83, of Yukon died September 17, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Oklahoma City in 1940 to Otto and Mary Berousek.
He grew up on his parents’ dairy farm with his sister Marilyn and attended Yukon High School. He studied electrical engineering at OSU before going to work at CMI Corporation while also serving in the National Guard.
In 1979, he started Arc & Sparc Electric and worked as an electrician for over 40 years in the Oklahoma City area.
He met the love of his life Diane at the bowling alley in Yukon and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage together. They had two sons, Deric and Jimmy, and one granddaughter, Tifani.
James and Diane were lifelong residents of Yukon. James enjoyed many hobbies when younger including bowling, fishing and hunting. Later in life, he liked to catch a good baseball game on tv, grow a garden and pitch horseshoes.
James was always willing to help out and lend a hand, the tricker problem the better. He had a wry sense of humor, but those who knew him best knew how to get a laugh.
James was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Mary, son Jimmy, and granddaughter Tifani. He is survived by his wife Diane; son Deric and daughter-in-law Mitzi; sister Marilyn, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. James had many friends and was well loved; he will be missed.
In lieu of flowers the family would encourage memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
