The Yukon American Legion will present an inaugural “Veterans Day Musicfest” set 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at Surrey Hills Baptist Church, 12421 N Mustang Road.
This free event is being presented by American Legion Post 160 to thank veterans in the community for their service.
Saturday’s patriotic benefit concert will feature Earl Goolsby on the piano, who will perform after an introduction by American Legion Post Commander Mike Devenitch.
Among highlights will be “Stars & Stripes Forever”, “Salute to the Troops” and “I Will Call Upon the Lord.”
The special concert will include a raffle of a patriotic quilt made by Wanda Goolsby, wife of the concert host.
American Legion Post 160 members will use all gifts, donations and contributions collected from the concert for their continuing support of veterans, the U.S. military, student scholarships, and other local, state and national activities.
