Kathryn Lynne Caudill Luman, born August 26th 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Sterling Wilson Caudill and Paige Lynne Goodpaster, passed away November 9th, 2020 due to a brief illness.

Kathy married her husband Donald Ray in 1981 and had two children Chad Sterling and Calley Elizabeth.

Kathy grew up with her two younger sisters Debra Lane and Kelley Elizabeth in Oklahoma City. When they weren’t learning in the Putnam City school district, they had the unique opportunity to live three individual years in Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Kathy worked at Bob Moore Cadillac where she met Don. She then when on to work at Smicklas Chevrolet where she developed a long standing relationship with John and Barbara Smicklas which brought her into the world of horse racing. Kathy then served a long tenure at Remington Park Racing and Casino.

Kathy loved both of her grandmother’s Vionne and Margie very dearly and was very dedicated to supporting all the people in her life who needed a little extra help. Kathy loved the arts, especially musical theater, and animals like birds and horses. Like many Oklahomans, she loved Thunder games and went to as many as she could. She also loved visiting old cemeteries and haunted towns. Her love of arts and community led her to joining Leadership Oklahoma City class of 32 where she made lifelong friends.

Kathy will be dearly missed and held in the hearts of all that knew her. She was supportive, generous, understanding and had a critical eye which made her great at drawing, painting, and designing even though she was humble about it.

Kathy’s family feels peaceful to know that she is now with her grandmothers that she loved so deeply and the free flying hawks that she admired so greatly.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Paige; father, Sterling; husband, Don; son, Chad and wife Erika, and grandchild Colette; daughter, Calley, and younger sisters, Debra and Kelley as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathy’s memory can be safely visited and honored at Yanda and Son Funeral Home website.
