EL RENO – A Yukon man faces at least 50 years in state prison if convicted on two counts of lewd/indecent acts to child under 16.

The felony charges against Alexander David Defaria, 22, were filed Dec. 9, 2021, in Canadian County District Court.

Canadian County Assistant District Attorney Micheal Oglesby alleges Defaria committed the crimes between July 1 and Nov. 30, 2021, “by knowingly and intentionally touching the private parts” of a baby “in a lewd or lascivious manner by acts against public decency and morality.”

The defendant was age 21 and the alleged victim was about 1-1/2 years when the acts occurred, according to court documents.

Each count is punishable by not less than 25 years in Oklahoma Department of Corrections’ custody.

The case was investigated by Oklahoma City Police. Defaria’s listed address is in the 2000 block of S Mustang Road in Yukon.

Defaria has been housed at the Canadian County Jail since being booked at 8:41 p.m. Nov. 30, 2021.

A preliminary hearing conference is set Wednesday, March 23 before Canadian County Special Judge Khristan K. Strubhar. The hearing has been continued twice, court records show.

Defaria’s attorney is public defender Craig Corgan.

A victim’s protective order against Defaria was issued Jan. 3 by Judge Sara Murphy Bondurant in Oklahoma County District Court.
