Discount retail store, health clinic coming to Yukon

Another new retail business is coming to Main Street on Yukon’s east side.

Dollar Tree has filed plans with the City of Yukon’s Development Services department to construct a store in the Yukon Crossing-Phase II development.

A new commercial construction permit was filed Jan. 25 for a 9,800 square foot building at 915 E Main west of the Walmart Neighborhood Market.

Cost is $600,000. Contractor is Bolton Construction Services.

Headquartered in Chesapeake, Va., Dollar Tree is a chain of discount variety stores.

The company operates more than 15,000 stores across the United States and Canada.

Departments found in a Dollar Tree store include health and beauty, food and snacks, party, seasonal décor, housewares, glassware, dinnerware, household cleaning supplies, candy, toys, gifts, gift bags and wrap, stationery, craft supplies, teaching supplies, automotive, electronics, pet supplies, and books, according to the company’s website.

Most Dollar Tree stores also sell frozen foods and dairy items such as milk, eggs, pizza, ice cream, frozen dinners, and pre-made baked goods.

Dollar Tree now operates a store at 1300 W Vandament in the shopping center north of the Yukon Walmart Supercenter.

Dollar Tree will be the latest addition to Yukon Crossing, a development featuring commercial, medical and residential uses on the north side of Main Street west of Yukon Parkway.

Construction recently got underway on a 7,381 square foot Auto Zone store at 835 E Main.

A new commercial construction permit was filed last November for that $800,000 project. This will be the auto parts retailer’s second store in Yukon.

A new Okie Express car wash opened last year at 925 E Main.

Also in November, UStorageOK filed a new commercial construction permit for a 24,000 square foot storage addition at 801 E Main in Yukon Crossing. Project cost is $500,000.

NEW ‘MERCY GO’ CLINIC

Meanwhile, Mercy Health has filed plans with the City of Yukon for a new walk-in clinic.

Mercy Go Health Urgent Care is coming to 1777 Garth Brooks Blvd. south of Interstate 40.

A building permit for a commercial tenant improvement was filed Jan. 31 for a 2,565 square foot space inside the shopping center just north of N.W. 10th.

Cost is $488,000. Contractor is Bobby Castle Construction.

Mercy recently filed plans with the City of Mustang to open a 3,100 square foot health clinic in a shopping plaza just east of the Mustang Walmart on State Highway 152.

A building permit for a commercial remodel was filed Jan. 24 for Frontline Church at 10 W Main – Suite 135 (The Progress Room). Midtown Construction Services is contractor for the $200,000 project.

A permit for a commercial tenant improvement was filed Jan. 3 for Aaron’s at 1107 Garth Brooks Boulevard in the Chisholm Shopping Center. Wurzer Construction is contractor for the $726,600 project.

Another permit for a commercial tenant improvement was filed Jan. 18 for House of Restoration Church at 208 Arlington Drive. Garrett Services is contractor for that $790,000 project.
